Melania Trump, Donald Trump’s third wife and mother of his son Barron William Trump, announced in February that she’d be launching a jewelry line on QVC – the popular home shopping channel.  QVC stands for Quality, Value, and Convenience.  The convenience piece is obvious – it is fairly convenient to order jewelry from the television – though it is sometimes even easier to buy jewelry online.  As for value – the signature piece in the collection is a replica of Melania’s diamond-encrusted wedding band.   It will only cost you $27.08.  Compared to the $1.5 million Trump paid for Melania’s engagement ring, that’s pretty good value.
As for quality, time will only tell.  The line will debut at 9 PM EST on April the 30th of 2010.  Trump, who studied architecture and design prior to her modeling career, has three different categories to her jewelry line – New York, Paris, and Palm Beach. The New York line is what she calls “more business-oriented” while the Paris line is focused more on glamor.  The Palm Beach line is designed to be worn at the country club or beach.

Trump, who owns many pieces of extremely expensive jewelry, wants to bring style and beauty to the masses.  If you end up checking it out, leave a comment to let us know what you think.
